RE: Oil at $80 a barrel?

I don't think high prices for fuel has kept the speeders speed down. I for one have slowed down and I ride my scooter many places I have to go to. The younger class of drivers are still going foot to the floor driving. Oregon had one of the worst Labor day weekends in the last 10 years. 11 deaths this year, ten was the high 10 years ago. speed being the number one reason for the deaths.

RE: Will Tornado Work?

what ever to read or do about the tornado, just go ahead and install it. you will never find a better devise to install to use to clean out your black tank. Nothing on this planet works better to clean out a black tank. NOTHING!!!!! they use less water than other devises, are faster and do a better job. I hate it when a guy will take an hour to back flush his tank two or three times. what a waste of good water and my time waiting for him.

RE: Chlorine in black water tank?

I have a friend who uses clorox during hunting season in his tank. I have read on this forum that this is not a good idea. the two ways that are and make sense is the GEO method and using black tank chemicals. I have used just about every thing on the market in my black tank over the many years I've been camping. I heard about a chemical called Happy Camper. This stuff works, bar none. I bought mine on the Internet. I bought the big box and gave some to my kids in coffee cans. It is more than I will use in my life time. I have a quickie flush in my tank and with that and the happy camper, I have a clean tank and a non smelling tank.

RE: Any RV-unfriendly cities along the US 101 in Oregon?

by all means try the casinos and some of the church parking lots. be sure to look for signs stating no over night parking. seems the coast is full of signs for no parking.

RE: RV Stolen From Forest River - help please

Forest river is jacking you around. your TT was in their possession and on their property. They are reasonable for your TT. Sue them if nothing else. they need to fess up to getting you a new TT, not your insurance.

RE: LaGrande, OR to Coeur D'Alene, ID

just stay on the freeway, I-84 turn north on I-82 cross over Columbia River at Umatilla and stay on the same freeway until you get to Spokane and gas up and keep right on going on 395, then get on I 90 till you get there. plenty of gas and places to pull over.

RE: Dutch Oven Prime Rib Roast Question

I have a recipe for prime rib wrapped in a cocoon of Kosher salt. the rib is the best and doesn't taste like salt. the salt gets hard and you have to break it off the rib when it's done. put a layer of salt on the bottom and then come up the sides of the roast. before you do this, you will want to put your spices on the roast like you would preparing it in any other fashion. I put a temp gage in mine and cook until it gets to 140, then remove from oven and continue to cook until the meat is to everyone's eating temp, some like well done, some like med rare etc.

RE: Any problems with Firefox 3.0?

how strange this should happen. I was reading my email and had firefox opened, and when I shut the email page I had a little message that stated firefox had crashed and I needed to restart. one out of how many? not bad. at least this doesn't happen once an hour.

RE: Any problems with Firefox 3.0?

well, I trust FireFox a lot more than Microsoft when it comes to operating systems. I upgraded and I have had no issues, just getting used to the new web page look. In fact it looks a lot like Microsoft come to think of it.

RE: Noisy Kitchen Stove Fan

Go to the auto parts store and buy an old chevy variable heater switch. and install it in line with the fan on your stove vent. it won't make it real quiet but it will slow down the blades so you can live with it.
